Light Up the Holidays in PA Dutch Country
One of my favorite activities every holiday season is to ride around and look at the Christmas lights in the area. To me it has always been the best way to get into the spirit and step back from the hustle and bustle. With the particularly difficult year this has been, we all need a dose of bright Christmas cheer! We have two suggestions to LITERALLY brighten your Christmas spirit this next month.
Close by in Lancaster City, the Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball team transform their stadium into a fabulous drive through light show. While remaining in the comfort and safety of your own vehicle, you tune your radio to enjoy the Christmas music as you drive through and around the synchronized display. Pricing is per vehicle, and while tickets are available at the entrance, we recommend that you pre-purchase your tickets at The Christmas Spirit Light Show Webpage.
Another annual Christmas trip for us is up to Lititz where the Motz Family will be hosting their 8th annual light show at their property at 659 Laurel Avenue in Lititz. This grand display is a Griswold-Family-style presentation of the family’s home synchronized to music on your car radio. The show is completely supported by the family, and donations are gratefully accepted for the benefit of the Lititz Volunteer Fire Department. You can see more information on their Facebook page.
Both of these shows run through the holidays beginning on Saturday, November 28. So, check your calendars and make your reservations for a peaceful beginning to the holidays in Lancaster County.
